strategies Yes No

While I whole heartedly agree with ADSO's ambitions, I would like to see the strategies you're employing to achieve your aims. It seems to me the politicians have a very good point re their "no money" argument. What's your counter argument to that? Appealing to the "right thing to do" in the political psyche seems more like pissing into the wind. We will need a far better strategy than this to convince a politician to take action on our behalf. And the first action ought to be to address the "no money" argument. The second is to make a helluva lot of noise, NOW, while there's an election in the wind. After that you're wasting your breath.

Your on the money with your comments and suggestion. The strategy is a combination of showing the Government and the Australian people the facts of the erosions to entitlements and examples of the Government's ability to fund IOO lower priority causes AND by direct action seek the public support and direct engagement with politicians in their electorates with priority to the marginal ones. At the same time we are actively engaging the relevant Ministers, shadow Ministers and Party leaders and Independents. We have Action Groups that are effective. Will be interested to see whats happening, would like to make contact with any of our troops coming home that would like to talk about their problems and experiences and to offer support.

Thanks Bob for your support.
